Glassy material produced by complete melting of predominantly oxide materials can be referred to as vitreous enamel. The inorganic preparation produced in this way is applied with additives in one or more layers to steel plates and melted at temperatures of about 850°C.

Enamel frits are the basic materials for enameling - they are a mixture of a wide variety of raw materials, such as quartz, borax, soda, potash,... With different color frits for the enameling processes, our customers can individualize and customize their tanks and silos depending on local conditions, personal preferences or third-party color specifications.

For EMAILED TANKS AND SILOS, steel plates of 2.5 - 12 mm are usually used, each depending on the static calculations and requirements on site.

Within the production process, the steel plates are cut by laser to a standard dimension adapted to the production, punched and then rounded to the specified diameter of the tanks / silos.

We use a system optimized for steel - our plates are manufactured with a size of approximately 1.40 x 2.70 m. Of course, sizes deviating from this are also available on request.

Glass Coated Steel

The fusion of glass and steel

Enameling is the perfect system to combine the advantages of steel (highest resilience) and glass (highest chemical resistance) in one material.

The liquid enamel is transformed into a new material in one or two (depending on the required surface properties) firing passes at 850°C:
Enameled steel.

The difference: not glued on but fused.

Depending on the wishes / requirements of our customers, different quality levels result.
In this context, up to three enamel layers are applied to guarantee the previously selected quality level.

Colors

Add color to the game

Both the outer and inner sides of our panels are enameled.
For the inside we use a specially developed paint: OMERASTORE VITREOUS 7022 (UMBRA GRAY). This coating material has excellent behavioral properties with any kind of stored substances and meets the requirements of ANSI 61 (tested for drinking water). Depending on the type of coating, it can be used for pH values from 2 to 11 and is largely resistant to aggressive substances.

Forest green (similar to RAL 6020) or gray (similar to RAL 7036) are available from us as standard exterior colors for glass lined panels.
Various special colors are also available on request, including light gray (similar to RAL 7035), olive green (similar to RAL 6006) or dark blue (similar to RAL 5011).

For individual and customized designs, we are happy to provide the outer panels with your graphics or logos, for example, your company name can be applied as a screen print.
